Framed at Point Gallery Denver and ready for its next exhibition!

This piece is of a family member so the personal connection I have to it is quite strong. I wanted to finish it by adding a custom made frame by the amazing crew at Point Gallery in Denver. For this work I decided to do a floated ¾ inch frame that is painted white. I plan on including this piece in one of my upcoming shows! Stay Tuned.

Caught in a laugh attack finishing this large-scale work

I find when I work on a large scale I tend to get delusional with the amount of hours I will work on it straight at one time. I start not being able to see even three feet in front of me because I have been so close up to the work I am creating for hours my vision goes blurry. While making jokes about me being an old lady he told me to turn around and caught this shot. Not ideal, but it sure does sum up that day in the studio!

Always Gathering more Supplies

When the work you create is primarily on wood, Paxton’s Hardwoods is the place to be! I spend so much time here; they have the most beautiful types of wood and the friendliest people. Every time I go in there I am educated on a new type of wood adding to my list of woods I would love to make paintings on. Purple Heart is one of my favorites!
