TRAVELING: UPCOMING SHOWS & ART WORKSHOPS

Currently, I am building out my new Dodge, Ram Van. I will be traveling the US doing Pop-Up Events, teaching art workshops & connecting with new clients-all while seeing some of the best views & fishing!

The states I will be hitting on this first Van Adventure will be California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana.Pretty epic lineup of ground to cover for a little than less than a month of travel for my first trip in this mobile studio! I have a professional Van Builder who specializes in these particular vans that is creating a mobile desk/workspace for me in it! I can’t wait to show off this thing, I am so proud to have finally made this dream a reality! Feels so good to know I can take off whenever and have all my supplies with me able to lets inspiration strike when that moment hits.

-DENVER- A lot is going down there the first month of September!! Would love to see some familiar faces at any of these three events if you can make it!

BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED- SOLD!

Very excited to announce one of my favorite pieces ever made, “Bloom Where You Are Planted” just sold to a new San Diego buyer! I’ve had this piece up in my studio, appreciating its beauty everyday. Sad to see it go but very happy to know it has found its new home!

Thank you all for your continued support! I couldn’t do it without you!

DETAILS- CLOTHING COMMISSION

I loved creating this piece for a clients company in New Jersey. Beyond loving the content of what I was hired to create- this client was one of the most genuine and real people I have worked with in my artistic career.

Very grateful to have connected and become an artist for this incredible visionary. This new company is about to take off- I can feel it!

VIEWS- MT. SHASTA

View from where I worked. Who cares about living off Cliff bars and car camping when you get to wake up to this?

This trip has changed my life.

MOUNT SHASTA

Mount Shasta has been the place I’ve found the most inspiration along this trip. I have never felt the energy that I did while I was there! It was like my artistic inspiration exploded and I was overwhelmed with ideas and excitement! I was drawing landscapes in the mountains and forests for days. My dog Ziggy and I fished one day at Shasta Lake and hiked around soaking up all the goodness Shasta has to offer. I couldn’t leave, and I haven’t stayed anywhere this entire trip for that many days. Pretty fun not knowing where you will end up- as long as I am with Ziggy we are good is what I have learned.

I am so excited to share the work with you guys when I’m back in the studio!

Currently, I am in Portland, Oregon. I camped at Mt. Hood and visited with a new artist friend in Bend for a bit. I just visited with some family, and got to babysit my cousins kids yesterday! Spending time with little kids warms my heart like nature does so I am pretty much full of all the vibes right now.

Life is good.

GONE FISHING 5/31-6/19

For me this has been a long time coming. I haven’t taken time off in years. In fact, I can’t remember the last time I did- thats when you know it’s time. I started brainstorming what I wanted to create for my next series of work and thought of how much I love fishing.

The more I researched all the different fish I could get inspired with I realized I should just go out and fish to gain true inspiration from the source. So- here I go. I will be out of the studio Camping and Fishing all over the coast of California and for now thats all I want to plan. My life is so planned, and I love living that way- it keeps me sane and comfortable. Now- I’d like to live a little insane for a while, as Salvador Dali (my biggest inspiration) would encourage this in EVERY artist.

All my camping/fishing gear is packed- poles, my dog and the several maps. Yes- maps because I am “old school” like that. My mom inspires me to live like she did growing up. She said it was the most liberating experience to not know where you’ll end up- just go and figure it out. I felt my soul light up when we were talking about it.

So here’s to 20 DAYS on the open road with my dog Ziggy as my co pilot. I’ll be Plein Air painting at some of the most beautiful places like the Redwoods, Big Sur and many other places I have yet to know of.

Meanwhile I’ll be working on scheduled commissioned pieces for my awesome clients supporting this crazy journey. I always am in such a controlled environment and so the packing for this was extensive making sure everything travels safe and stays in mint condition along the adventure. Some nights I’ll be drawing out of my car all nestled in with Zigs using my headlamp, laughing about how silly it all seems and at the same time witnessing how beautiful it is to live minimally and see the art still gets made because I am still me just adapting to new places. We forget that when we live comfortable there is so much to learn in the “uncomfortable”.

Bring on the adventure!! Thank you to all of you for supporting me in my crazy Artist life. Make sure to check out Instagram to see the fish I’m catching and the places I find, I want to share this experience with all of you! Heres a shot taken of the first time I fly Fished- can’t wait to feel this again!

Much love and wishing you all the best in YOUR adventures too!
